Use the Preferred VFR Arrival and Departure Routes
Follow NZPP's preferred VFR arrival and departure routes; northbound departures off RWY 16 should cross the threshold at 1,000 ft or preferably higher.

NZPP has preferred VFR arrival and departure routes to support the safe and orderly flow of traffic in and out of the aerodrome.
These procedures reduce the chance of conflicts, especially at busy times when circuit, training and transiting aircraft are all operating at once. For everyone's safety, follow the preferred routes whenever practicable.
Northbound departures off Runway 16
Depart via the downwind leg and cross overhead the Runway 16 threshold at no lower than 1,000 ft. Climbing above 1,000 ft is strongly encouraged, as aircraft going around from Runway 16 may also be climbing through that altitude, which could result in a loss of separation.
Review the NZPP VFR procedures in AIP New Zealand before your next flight.
