Aerodrome & Circuit
Hold Clear If Unsure Near the Circuit
If unsure overhead, vacate to at least 2 NM, sort yourself out and return; brief passengers to stay quiet in critical phases and to point out traffic.

Operating safely in or near the circuit requires good judgement and situational awareness at all times. If you arrive overhead and feel unsure, or need to rethink your approach, don't hesitate to vacate the overhead. Fly at least 2 NM away from the aerodrome, hold clear, get yourself sorted, and return when ready.
If you have passengers on board, brief them clearly before flight:
- Ask them not to talk during critical phases of flight.
- Agree on a hand signal that means "stop talking".
- Ask them to point out any aircraft they see, and explain how you'll acknowledge it.
