Don't Land Before the Threshold
Cross the threshold at about 50 ft AGL and touch down beyond it, ideally near the aiming point markers – resist the urge to 'duck under' on final for RWY 16.

Respect the runway threshold markings. The threshold defines the start of the landing portion of the runway, and aircraft should not touch down before it.
Aim to cross the threshold at approximately 50 ft AGL, allowing a stable approach and proper use of the available landing distance. Landing before the threshold not only reduces safety margins but can also expose the aircraft to unprepared surfaces or obstacle hazards that a displaced threshold is specifically designed to protect against.
This is especially relevant on Runway 16 at Paraparaumu, where there can be a tendency to 'duck under' on final. Stay disciplined on your approach profile and make sure you touch down beyond the threshold markings – ideally around the aiming point markers.
