When the days get shorter, the final booking slot (ending at 1700) is much closer to ECT – especially worth keeping in mind when planning cross-country flights.
It's good practice to build an appropriate buffer before ECT or curfew, whichever is more restrictive. Things always take longer than expected in aviation.
As a reminder, our SOPs require you to be on the ground 30 minutes before ECT unless you are night-current.
If you're unsure, have a chat with one of the instructors before your next cross-country flight.
